In an article I read on The Nature Conservancy, they said it can help us tackle urban environmental challenges such as stormwater management, pollution reduction, and climate resiliency. In 100 Facts About Urban Nature put together by Stockholm Resilience Centre of Stockhom University, Urban areas are expanding most rapidly along coastlines and Africa and Asia would experience 4/5 of all urban growth alone between 2000 to 2030. According to Britannica, many species are lost when a natural landscape turns into an urban one, but some animals and plants can adapt and survive. Like raccoons thrive more in urban landscapes than in natural ones due to the amount of food they have and how they’ve adapted. Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Tobias Keene brings a bit of unabashed Southern hospitality to all his patients. He moved to Washington, D.C. over thirty years ago as a freshman at Ivy College. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. He is part of the 123 Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest dental discoveries. We are converting an old pond/fountain that is about15 by 30ft. into our living garden. We’re laying down soil and have been planning out parts of the garden.
