Why Plants For People?
What we’re doing
We hope Plants for People will reach the world. Please join our movement by giving a plant each to three neighbors for them to grow in their homes. Kindly ask them to do the same and have them give a plant each to three of their neighbors, and so on.
Our goal is for everyone to receive a plant and give three plants until everyone has one.
We’re starting in San Francisco and hoping to reach everyone in the Bay area > California > U.S.A and try to expand the movement to the world!

Hi, I’m Micah, a middle school student living in San Francisco, California. I wanted to start a movement that would bring more awareness on the importance of urban nature and also show why it’s so important for people to connect and interact with our natural environment. Help me spread the word! Start by giving a plant to three of your neighbors or close friends. Then tell them to do the same to three others. What else we are working on
We have been coming together as a community to build our school garden. We are converting an old pond/fountain that is about15 by 30ft. into our living garden. We’re laying down soil and have been planning out parts of the garden. We will start by planting succulents, flowers, herbs and some fruit and veggies!
